Last week in the library, Mrs. Freeman and Mrs. Yutzy had the joy of gifting every Fairview kindergartener with their own book written by Corey Tabor. This was thanks to a generous contribution through First Books from Mrs. Freeman's sister, Virginia Satterley Meyer, and her niece, Wren Satterley Goff, in honor of Evan Satterley. It was a great way to finish up the year and to share the joy of reading with our rising 1st grade Cardinals.

This Wednesday is Field Day! Your student will get wet, so please be sure they come to school with a full change of clothes, a bag for wet clothes, and a towel. It's also important they bring a water bottle to school that day. In Module 4 of Wit and Wisdom, 2nd graders have been learning about what nourishes their bodies. Students in Mrs Gortney’s class worked together to see just exactly how long our digestive tracts are - roughly 30 feet and close to 9 meters, to be exact! Killian said it was hard to believe all that fits inside us!
