Major County Rural Water District #1 is now accepting applications for a Field Operator. Duties include operation, maintenance, and repair of the rural water system. A valid driver's license is required; experience is a plus.

On Monday, October 6, we will begin the process of rehabilitating the 1 million gallon water tank west of town. The process will take approximately 3 months to complete. During this time, customers may experience fluctuating water pressure. We will begin draining the tank on Saturday, October 4 to prepare for the work to begin.

Major County Rural Water District #1

Board Member(s) Needed

There are two board positions currently available for the MCRW District. Qualities should include experience with policies, familiar with board activities and actions, finances, advocacy for masses, and planning.
The Board of Directors are subject to the restrictions of law and the By-Laws set forth for MCRW, you MUST be a member of the district to apply.
Our board meetings are the third Monday of every month, and interested parties may attend the June 16th, 2025 meeting for consideration.

The primary goal of the Major County Rural Water District #1 Board of Directors is to oversee the management of the rural water district served, advocate for the entirety of the district, promote infrastructure and upgrades of the system to better serve its members, and to ensure the district is serving the needs of its members.

This is a volunteer position.
