This fall, a team from Apple Marketing visited Fairview High School to see firsthand how our teachers redefine the educational experience for students every day. They also sat down with Dr. Zona and Dr. Beall to discuss how our district approaches assessment while thoughtfully integrating technology.

Apple recently highlighted the incredible work happening in our building in an article and accompanying video.

Conversations about technology in the classroom are never simple. Over the past decade, FHS has become a leader in thoughtful technology integration - not because every student simply has an iPad, but because our teachers and staff work tirelessly to find meaningful ways to use technology to truly transform how students engage with learning.

It’s always rewarding when others recognize what we’ve long known: Fairview has incredible teachers, and our students are fortunate to learn in our classrooms.

Learn how Fairview School District uses digital testing and assessments on iPad and Mac to put students at the center of learning.

Fairview High School is proud to recognize an extraordinary musical achievement by one of our own students.

This year, through a rigorous and extremely difficult audition process, Jabin Bull has been selected to participate, as one of five trumpet players in the state, in the PMEA All-State Jazz Band. Jabin will now represent Fairview High School for the third time at a PMEA All-State Music Festival, earning a rare and impressive distinction known as the “Triple Crown” of All-State participation. Over the course of his high school career, Jabin has been selected to perform in All-State Choir, All-State Concert Band, and All-State Jazz Band—a remarkable accomplishment that highlights his versatility, dedication, and outstanding musicianship. He is also the first Fairview student that has been selected to participate in the All-State Jazz band and to have achieved this Triple Crown.

Earning a place in the Pennsylvania All-State ensembles is one of the highest honors a high school musician can achieve. Students must first advance through District and Region auditions, competing against some of the most talented young musicians in the state before ultimately being selected for the All-State level.

Achieving this honor three times in three different ensembles is an extremely rare accomplishment and speaks to Jabin’s exceptional talent, work ethic, and passion for music. His ability to excel as both an instrumentalist and vocalist demonstrates a level of musical versatility that few students ever attain.

The Fairview music department and entire school community congratulate Jabin Bull on this outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing his continued success.

Congratulations on earning the All-State Triple Crown!
