Fairview Fire and Rescue

Fairview Fire and Rescue Volunteer fire department serving Fairview Township Life is irreplaceable and will always be our priority over all duties and tasks.

Fairview Fire and Rescue has been proudly serving Fairview Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania since its foundation in 1933. As per our mission statement, Fairview Fire and Rescue is dedicated to the preservation of life and property. We will act in a professional manner treating all with dignity and respect in all phases of life with all that we do. We will provide care and comfort to those in ne

ed, and training to improve our skills to reduce the loss of life and property. We shall maintain a welcome relationship with those in our community and surrounding areas. Our organization provides fire, rescue, and EMS services to the residents of not only Fairview Township, but also neighboring municipalities when requested. Our department is active with some type of response, or multiple responses, nearly everyday. For example, in 2021 we ran a total of 1,172 calls over the duration of the year, and this number is expected to grow by the end of 2022. When the department was founded in 1933, the residents of Fairview purchased a Chevy pickup truck that was converted into our very first pumper. Today, we currently possess one BLS ambulance, two engines, one rescue, one tanker, and one QRS/utility vehicle. Station 52, our main station for daily operations, is located at 7190 West Ridge Road. Our secondary station, Station 53, houses our backup apparatus and serves as a West County Paramedic Post Location. Our AmazonSmile link can be found at: https://tinyurl.com/27D85YRJ

Erie County Department of Public Safety will be conducting a Quarterly Municipal Disaster/Storm Siren Test for Erie County on:
🚨Wednesday, April 15th, 2026
12:30 West County, Edinboro and McKean

This test is done four times a year to ensure that in the event of weather related emergency the siren operates properly.

The difference between the fire siren and the weather siren is the following:

🚒Fire Siren: Fire siren goes off in the event the fire company is dispatched for a fire, motor vehicle accident or rescue situation. It cycles up and down for a total of three short bursts.

🌪️Storm Siren: Storm siren goes off in the event of severe weather to notify the general public to seek immediate shelter and tune into NOAA weather radio or other media sources for information. The siren is activated and will sound for a steady 3-minute cycle.

Friendly reminder to our residents: please help keep fire hydrants clear of snow and ice!

We get it, it’s been cold and we’ve gotten a lot of snow recently. 🥶 And when it snows a lot, it’s easy for fire hydrants to get buried.

Cleared hydrants help save precious minutes establishing a water source when there’s a fire. 🔥 We appreciate those who are already incorporating it into their snow clearing routine.

Whether you use a snowblower, shovel or something else, try to clear at least 3 feet around the hydrant and make sure all connections are accessible. Cleared hydrants help us help you faster. 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽
