3/20/2026. The NWS has upgraded the Fire Watch to a Red Flag Warning for the area in pink. This also includes all the Texas panhandle. Conditions tomorrow in the Red Flag Warning area will have gusts to 30mph and relative humidity down to 4%! The temps will also be in the mid 90s. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions will be occurring in this area. A fire weather watch will be in counties in tan. Tomorrow is not the day to do any outdoor burning in these areas.

Fire weather concerns are expected to increase today with elevated to critical conditions possible. Gusty southwest winds and low humidity is expected this afternoon. Take steps to prevent fire starts.

I was going to wait till next week for this but with the growing number of controlled burns being called in around the region I felt now was the time.
PLEASE if you do a burn, 1. call it in. 2. make sure it is all the way out. the last thing we want is a brush pile started this week to reignite a wild fire in a few days.
