Town of Faison Providing information to the citizens in and around Faison. The Town of Faison was settled on land granted to Henry Faison on July 2, 1778.

When the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad was built, it had its only curve at the crossroads in this little town. The village was first called Faison Depot, but later became known as the Town of Faison. Faison is located in the northwest corner of Duplin County at the intersection of highways NC 117 and 403. Highway NC 50 intersects NC 403 near Faison. Interstate 40, exit 355 and future I-795 is just

3 miles west of Faison. Faison contracts with the Duplin County Sheriff’s Department which offers 24-hour protection. Faison and its surrounding areas are served by a well-equipped volunteer fire department and rescue squad. Seven protestant churches are located in and near Faison. Goshen Medical Center, located on SW Center Street, was built in 1981 and provides the Faison community with the highest quality medical and dental services. GMC is one of the largest and fastest growing medical providers in the state of North Carolina. Faison is also home to Bay Valley Foods, a division of Treehouse Foods which specializes in all kinds of pickles and peppers. It was formerly Cates Pickles, formed in 1898 and along with neighboring Mt. Olive shares the title Pickle Capital of the World. It is also home to the 2022 NC Ag Exports Exporter of the Year, Cottle Strawberry Farms and Nursery. Faison has the recently renamed Anne Stroud Taylor Recreation & Wellness Center located at 184 Park Circle which sponsors all types of sports events, meals on wheels, wellness program s/events and is a designated Red Cross Shelter. The center was renamed to honor Mrs. Anne Stroud Taylor for her unwavering dedication and service to the Town of Faison.
