🚂 TODAY'S THE DAY 🚂 Union Pacific's Big Boy No. 4014 is expected to arrive in Ripley at approximately 12:00 p.m. and depart around 12:30 p.m.

If you're heading to Ripley today:
🅿️ Use designated parking areas
🚌 Take advantage of free CHQ Transit shuttle service (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
🚻 Restrooms are available throughout the event area
⏰ Arrive early and expect heavy traffic
👮 Follow directions from law enforcement, emergency personnel, and event staff
🚂 Stay off railroad tracks and restricted areas

About one year ago, we opened the newly renovated restrooms at Luensman Overview Park. In the time since, the restrooms have been subject to nearly constant vandalism, theft, and damage, as well as being left in unsanitary conditions. Going forward, we will not be providing open restrooms for the general public. The restrooms will remain locked. We will be making accommodations for the use of the restrooms for those who reserve the pavilion. We are saddened it has come to this, but we are left no choice. As so often is the case, it is unfortunate that the actions of a few, ruin it for so many others. Our thanks go out to all who use the park responsibly, we hope you continue to enjoy all the park has to offer!

⚠️🚂 Big Boy No. 4014 arrives tomorrow!

While many are expected in Ripley, some residents may choose to view the locomotive as it travels east through Chautauqua County toward Buffalo.

If you plan to watch from communities such as Westfield, Brocton, Dunkirk, Silver Creek, or elsewhere along the route:
✅ Stay on public property
✅ Remain well back from railroad tracks
✅ Never stand on or walk along the tracks
✅ Obey all railroad crossings and warning devices
✅ Supervise children closely
✅ Be alert for railroad operations at all times

Big Boy No. 4014 will be traveling north on the south track after departing Ripley. Let's work together to make this historic event memorable and safe for everyone.

🚂 Big Boy No. 4014 arrives in Ripley in just 5 days!

If you're planning to experience this historic event, now is the time to plan your visit. The Town of Ripley has designated parking areas, free shuttle service, and public restroom locations to help visitors enjoy the day safely and conveniently.

🅿️ Parking Option A: Ripley Community Park
🚌 Free Shuttle Route A to downtown Ripley

🅿️ Parking Option B: First Baptist Church
🚌 Free Shuttle Route B to the south side of the railroad tracks

*free shuttle services run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

🚻 Restrooms are available at the Community Park, Town Building, and near the train viewing area.

Please review the map before arriving and allow extra travel time on June 9.
