In observance of Labor Day, our office will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026. We will reopen on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Have a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend!

Ho**er Road, in the Town of Charlotte, between Hall Road and County Route 77, will be closed to all traffic effective Tuesday, September 8, 2026. This closure is due to replacement of County Bridge 1094. A detour will be posted. This closure shall remain in effect until the replacement bridge is completed and said detour signs are removed.

🕊️ May we never forget.

Chautauqua County will hold its Annual 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at noon Friday, Sept. 11, marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

🇺🇸 The public is invited to join County officials, first responders, veterans, community leaders and fellow residents at the County Courthouse in Mayville as we remember the lives lost and honor the heroes and survivors of 9/11.

A livestream will also be available for those unable to attend.

ATTENTION: This sign means just what it says…..not only NO ATV’s, but no motorized vehicles on the Overland Trails are permitted, and per local law, that’s been the case for the last 46 years. There has been a noticed uptick in off road vehicle use on both Overland Trails lately. Please be respectful and obey the rules and signage. This will ensure well kept trail conditions for users. If you see unauthorized motor vehicles on the Overland Trails, the equestrian, mountain bike, Rails to Trails, or cross country ski trails, let us, DEC, or state forest rangers know!

Great Midsummer Fly-In Drive-In.
3 full flights on a sunny day and lots of people enjoying rides and just taking tours and pictures….
