🌿✨ Two Rivers Park is Blooming! ✨🌿

Today’s featured wildflower: Baby Blue Eyes (Nemophila menziesii) 💙

These delicate, sky-blue blooms with soft white centers look like little pieces of the spring sky scattered across the ground. Native to California, Baby Blue Eyes thrive in open meadows and are a favorite among pollinators like bees and butterflies. 🐝🦋

You can spot them blooming now around Two Rivers Park, adding a peaceful splash of color to your walk. Take a moment to slow down, look closely, and enjoy one of nature’s simplest (and prettiest) gifts.

🌼 Tidy Tip: Please stay on marked paths to help protect these fragile wildflowers so everyone can enjoy them!

🌼 Two Rivers Park is Blooming! 🌼

Today we’re featuring the cheerful Tidy Tips—a daisy-like native wildflower known for its bright yellow petals with crisp white tips.

Not only are they beautiful, but they also play an important role in our ecosystem by attracting pollinators like butterflies 🦋 and bees 🐝.

Next time you’re at the park, keep an eye out for these sunny little blooms!

Spring has sprung in the Fall River Valley! Come explore the wildflowers just starting to bloom especially along the Ajumawi Trail at the end of Grand Rapids Ave.

Pictured here: In purple the wild hyacinth. Locals have cherished its edible roots for thousands of years. In red the native scarlet fritillary a hummingbird favorite! In yellow the California buttercup currently being enjoyed by a fly (possibly a dance fly).

Thank you to Community Foundation of the North State for honoring us as a recipient of a Burney Regional Community Foundation Grant!
The District will be purchasing a much needed Sewer Camera. This is a valuable piece of equipment that will assist our Operations team and help them assist customers.
