Alicia and I are excited to announce that a new organization has stepped up and will be taking over Saturday Outreach to our homeless friends! Please welcome the team from Thrive For Humanity. For the next couple of weekends the Thrive team will join HOH for Outreach and we’ll continue to assist them through a transition period. Please take a minute to like and follow their page, they’ll need all the same support we’ve always received from our wonderful community of volunteers. Please watch the Thrive and HOH pages for additional updates and requests.

We are in need of some volunteers for our upcoming pantry on Saturday the 19th from 7am-Noonish.
Tasks include filling boxes with food, helping to bag up produce, helping to run the drive through line and filling car trunks with food.
We run a drive through pantry in order to keep all our volunteers and clients safe, everyone volunteering must wear a mask and be non symptomatic and have not been around anyone with flu like symptoms.
If interested in volunteering please send us a message via Facebook.

It is with very heavy hearts that Luci and I announce that we’ve decided to step away from our very active roles as homeless advocates in the community.

We don’t have a specific date as of yet but we will not be reopening the office, we are no longer accepting donations and the last day for street outreach will be on Saturday 10/17.

It has been a wonderful 5 1/2 years of learning, growing and loving those in need and we cannot thank all of you enough for stepping up to support us and our mission.

The most difficult part to our decision, is knowing that the numbers of homeless individuals that sleep on our city streets nightly, will only continue to rise. 💔

“Finding a place to go to the bathroom when libraries, coffee shops and bus terminals are closed is a nightmare. The constant refrains from public health experts — wash your hands, stay six feet away from other people, stay at home if you’re sick — are difficult if not impossible when you’re living on the streets or in a shelter. And the hot and humid weather is even harsher when air-conditioned indoor settings, long a respite for people with nowhere else to turn, are deemed a virus risk and closed to visitors.”

Rod Point needs to take two buses to get from North Kingstown, where he’s living on the streets, to Providence. That’s even more of a haul

EDIT: Looks like it was a facebook glitch and all of our group members have been restored! Thank goodness. We couldn't do this work without all of your love and support.

Hi guys, it looks like our group Hearts Of Hope Inc. (Fall River) was hacked. Somehow, someone gained access and deleted all of the members. We are working to sort the situation out.

Edited to add: We still have access to the group and will continue posting, if you would like to feel free to join the group again.

Also, please share this post as some group members are not on this page.
