The Greater Fall River Healthy Families program provides education, support, resources and referrals to first time parents of any age who reside in Fall River through home visits and support groups. The program provides the same services to first time parents who are 20 years of age and younger, residing in the communities of Westport, Somerset and Swansea or any age mom living in Fall River. We p

rovide home visits designed to meet the families’ needs during the pregnancy and up to the child’s third birthday. We are committed to providing support to parents through the development of individual service plans that identify specific goals they want to achieve while in the program. The visits focus on building relationships with the families. Based on these relationships home visitors can introduce topics that include, helping parents become self-sufficient, make healthy choices for themselves and their children, encouraging them to pursue or complete their education and obtain job training skills, and promoting positive parent/child interactions. As part of the program we also provide interactive and engaging groups for parents that include transportation, child care, and meals. We encourage parents to connect with other parents and to have a voice in their community.

Greater Fall River Healthy Families was honored to attend Step Up for Kids at the Massachusetts State House, hosted by The Children's Trust, in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. 💙

The powerful display of children’s shoes on the Grand Staircase served as a reminder of the real lives behind the numbers — and the importance of supporting families before challenges become crises. While progress has been made, there is still critical work ahead to ensure every child grows up safe, supported, and thriving.

We’re proud to stand alongside Children’s Trust, partners, and advocates committed to strengthening families across the Commonwealth.

Our Healthy Families dads and little ones wrapped up an incredible 6-week Father-Child Interaction Group, celebrating connection, play, and learning.

One dad shared that the “experience was great and my son looked forward to it every week.” Hearing this reminds us of why these groups matter. 💙

As a Children's Trust program, we are proud to support opportunities that help fathers build meaningful connections with their children. These groups allow kids to explore, learn, and grow—while encouraging dads to take an active, joyful role in their child’s development.
