WIC's goal is to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding individuals and kids under 5 healthy! But, WIC is for all kinds of families: married and single parents, working or not working. If you are a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent or other legal guardian of a child under 5, you can apply for WIC for your child.

Simple snacks are where it's at! Here's some ideas to make this back-to-busy season a little easier on you:

National Smile Week is celebrated the second week of August to promote dental health. Here are some tips to keep your beautiful smile healthy!
- Brush your teeth twice daily for 2 minutes with fluoride toothpaste.
- Clean between your teeth daily because it is as important as brushing
- Eat a healthy diet that limits sugar
- See your dentist regularly
- Stay hydrated
- Drink water with fluoride
- Don't use to***co of any kind
- Avoid oral piercings
In addition to these healthy tips, we encourage everyone to make an effort to smile more this week! Smiling is contagious!
Itβs normal to feel fullness in your breasts in the early days of breastfeeding. This is because your breasts are gearing up to make plenty of milk and there is an increase in the amount of blood flowing to your breasts, so they may feel tender and warm. Laundry Love Fall River is a program that helps low income and no income individuals and families get their laundry washed and dried for free. The program operates twice a month at two laundromats:
- Star Laundromat at 529 Quarry Street on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
- Kam's Laundromat at 415 Second Street on the last Wednesday of the month.
Using WIC-approved items, we created healthy meals/sides with the zucchini from our race. π½οΈππ
Saturday's weather looks great for our 2nd Annual BlockParty Palooza!
Stop by between 10:00am-12:00pm to pick up your FREE backpack and school supplies, meet with local Community Partners and enjoy different activities!
