Friends of Heritage State Park - Fall River, MA

Sail Rec! is offering learn-to-sail classes to homeschool families this fall at Heritage State Park in Fall River. This has been a popular program for a decade now and we hope to continue the tradition. Schedule will be two days a week from 12:30 to 4:00 starting the week of 9/14 and will continue through the end of October. This September we bid farewell to our ever-popular StoryWalk(R) "Senprita Mariposa" and the world of butterflies and pollinators. Join us on September 12th for our going away celebration. All day long, join us with butterfly crafts and a public reading of the book (in English and Spanish!). Walk the StoryWalk(R) along the Pollinator Garden and learn about the environment we share from the he Trustees.org.

Also, in September we are closing our most recent Road to Revolution exhibit: The Occupation of Boston. This is the last chance before it returns to Boston.

Senorita Mariposa Day: A Celebration of Butterflies and the Gifts they Give
Join us for a multi-media salute to our butterfly friends. Walk our StoryWalk® “Senorita Mariposa” and/or join us for a bilingual reading of the book by Ben Gundersheimer followed by a special sung performance of the Ode to Senorita Mariposa. Learn all about the importance of our butterfly friends with the Trustees. Org.
It’s a fun and educational day suitable for the entire family and it’s free. Enjoy crafts, music, and activities themed around these important pollinators in our ecosystem. Presented by the Creative Arts Network and the Waterfront Cultural District in cooperation with the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
