Allie Sylvia and Irianny Rodriguez have their minds set on their goals! Both students transferred from Bristol Community College to Rhode Island College (RIC) and are currently in RIC's Medical Imaging program.
Today, they met up at the Fall River Campus to study together in the beautiful John J. Sbrega Health & Science Building.
Allie and Irianny are set to graduate from RIC in May 2025 in hopes of becoming future X-Ray Techs!

Shiv Thakur came to the USA from Nepal speaking limited English at 19 years old. Through Bristol’s ESL courses, Shiv quickly learned English and earned a degree in Engineering Science. Since graduating from Bristol in 2018, he's transferred to Northeastern University with a full scholarship and earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and master's degree in Engineering Management. Shiv is now the Founder and CEO of Summit Global Consulting Inc. located in the Greater Boston area.

Bristol celebrated High School Equivalency (HSE) graduates on Wednesday, June 26, in the Jackson Arts Center.
Students were recognized for their dedication to completing Bristol’s HSE classes and state-wide examination credential.
The celebration was facilitated by Director of Adult Education Nancy Labonte and included greetings from President Laura L. Douglas and an address by Mayor of Fall River Paul Coogan.
