School is out and summer has started! Mark your calendars with June’s events! We only have two events this month (so far) but we’re always happy to see our community out and about.
Be sure to get outside, enjoy the beautiful weather and live a healthier you!
June 13th: A healthier you… starts here! Join us at the Center for Senior Wellbeing Healthy Living Faire. This is a great easy way to get out and visit with over 30 different health-minded businesses. Admission is free and you can visit before or after you shop at the Farmer’s Market!
June 13th: If you’re looking for a great free activity for your kiddo this month, stop on by the from 2 to 4pm! Celebrate the start of Summer with face painting, laser tag, dunk tank, games, crafts, photobooth and shaved ice for all ages! Don’t forget to sign up for their Summer Learning Challenge! We’re a big fan of bringing a book to read at our Palomares House and Sculpture Garden.
June 20th: The summer solstice is the longest day and shortest night of the year. It occurs when Earth’s tilt toward the Sun is at its maximum, marking the official first day of astronomical summer. Join Kristen Richardson at 8 am our Pico Monserate Mountain Preserve for a summer solstice hike!
Prepare for the longest day of the year at Sage Yoga () with a deeply restorative Reiki Sound Bath honoring the Summer Solstice. Whether you're seeking relaxation, emotional balance, or a moment of stillness, this solstice ceremony offers a nurturing pause to honor your personal growth and the shifting rhythms of nature. This is a great way to end your day after a morning Solstice hike with Kristen!
As always, stop by the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and fill up your FLC tote bag with seasonal produce, fresh bread and other yummy treats!
