Celebrating our incredible RESPECT Project Spring 2026 graduates!

Over 16 weeks, these driven teens committed themselves to growth, leadership, and positive decision‑making, supported by dedicated instructors from the San Diego County Sheriff's Office. From fitness and team sports to meaningful discussions and skill‑building, they showed up, pushed through, and finished strong.

We’re so proud of each graduate and excited to welcome them back for continued mentoring, leadership opportunities, and all the resources our San Marcos HQ has to offer. From tutoring and meals to the fitness center, recording studio, art room, and more.

Here’s to their hard work, bright futures, and the community that helped them get here. Congrats, graduates! 🎓✨

The San Diego Sheriff’s Office is proud to support students as they work toward their goals through hard work and education.

On May 7th, Crime Prevention Specialist Heather Mitchell attended the Fallbrook Union High School District Education Foundation Dinner, celebrating the incredible opportunities offered through the district’s Career Technical Education programs. Guests enjoyed a gourmet meal prepared by talented culinary students.

The event highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to hands‑on learning that prepares students for future careers and college pathways. Attendees also toured the facility to see these programs in action.

Congrats to the students and everyone who made the evening a success! 🌟

Today is National Gun Violence Awareness Day. Recent events in San Diego remind us of the serious and tragic impact gun violence has on our communities. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to being part of the solution through education, safe firearm storage awareness, community partnerships, intervention programs, and proactive enforcement.

Through outreach and education, we work closely with our community to promote safety and help keep fi****ms out of the wrong hands. Prevention begins with awareness. Together, we can build safer communities, protect lives, and create a future where every resident feels secure in their neighborhood.

As part of our commitment to employee wellness, the PWR Team is introducing an internal, healthy, meal‑prep recipe series led by Deputy Joe Jackson, a former chef with over a decade of culinary experience. His unique blend of culinary skill and deputy life makes these recipes practical, affordable, and truly doable.

In honor of this new initiative, we decided to make this first video public. Be sure to screenshot the full recipe at the end.
