Longfellow will celebrate Purple Up! Day on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Purple Up! Day is a special day for communities to come together and wear purple as a visible gesture of support for our military-connected youth and their families. This weekend, Mrs. Barry and Mrs. Dawson took 100 theater and chorus students overnight to New York City! They learned a musical routine, working with company members from Broadway's Hadestown, visited the Museum of Broadway, and saw Maybe Happy Ending and Hadestown!

Congratulations to our LMS debate team! In last weekend’s tournament against 96 middle school teams and 192 competitors, the team of Erya Chai and Aliya Sahu came in FIRST PLACE, and the team of Alex Wu and Caleb Zhao came in EIGHTH PLACE. Aliya Sahu also came in SECOND PLACE for best middle school speaker. Way to go, Lancers!

Maddy has been an incredible addition to our 8th grade Civics team – she constantly creates engaging lessons and collaborates with her teammates to create engaging and fun lessons. Congratulations, Maddy!
