U.S. Army Recovery Care Program

U.S. Army Recovery Care Program The ARCP page is the official page for the U.S. Army Care Program. The mission of the U.S.

Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Deputy Chief of Staff for Army Recovery Care Program(DCS, ARCP) is to develop, coordinate and integrate the Army's Recovery Care Program (ARCP) for wounded, ill and injured Soldiers, Veterans and their Families or Caregivers to promote success in the force or civilian life. ARCP serves an essential role, not only in managing the care and recovery of Soldiers evacuated

from theater, but also those preparing to deploy and those who have returned from combat that require complex care management to cope with the effects of war and multiple deployments. ARCP works to ensure everything possible is done to enable Soldiers to return to duty. ARCP also plays an important role in ensuring Reserve Component Soldiers receive the care they require prior to and after deployment to remain mission ready.

Hi Everyone, I wanted to share this with you. I’m a retired medic and I’m trying to get this second career as an actor started out here in Atlanta. A music video I was in was recently released and we’re trying to get the message out.

A couple of thing to know. My performance in this video is dedicated to the memory of Sgt John Allen (KIA 17mar2007). I was Sgt Allen’s first line supervisor while stationed at Ft. Bliss with 2-12 Cav. Just before one of the first missions I went on in Iraq (which was scheduled to last 80hours straight). It was incredibly cold and Bradley’s can feen like an icebox when it’s cold. John asked me if I had a gator neck. I told him I didn’t... so he gave me his since he wasn’t going on any missions yet. I had great soldiers. They all cared about me and John was no different. During “oak tree” sessions he often talked about his approach to life. I got as much out of these talks that I hope he did. ... but his mentality was always one of ... you might as well go for it, who cares if you fail at least you can say you didn’t sit on the sidelines. So 4 years ago i got invited to be on the set of a movie a friend was doing and my first thought was of John. From there I started doing more work as an extra in tv and movies and I carry that gator neck I got from John on every set as a reminder to live a life that those that gave all would be proud and to NOT SIT ON THE SIDELINE.

I’m very proud of the video and trying to promote the artist, Patrick Kelly, as much as myself. He was inspired by watching a family member struggle with transitioning from combat to civilian life.

I would be extremely grateful if you would give it a listen and share. THANK YOU!!! It means more than you know.
