The Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP), an independent non-profit organization, is a standard-based voluntary assessment & peer review accreditation process for government programs responsible for coordinating prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for natural & human-caused disasters.

There will be a Virtual EMAP US&R Standard 2-2019 Cohort Training on January 7, 21, 28, and February 4, 2021 from 12-5pm EST. The Virtual EMAP US&R Standard 2-2019 Cohort Training is four weeks in length, requiring the participation of attendees in one afternoon session and small group work weekly. At the end of the course, participants may choose to be certified as Assessment Managers and/or Assessors. Serving as an EMAP Assessment Manager and/or an EMAP Assessor is an excellent way to serve the public and enhance the national capabilities of US&R Task Forces.
