Make it Click

With the end of the school year and summer approaching more people travel to see family, friends and take vacations. The Falls City Police Department is reminding all drivers of the importance of seatbelt and child restraint use.

“Make it Click” is a national mobilization and is about saving lives. In 2021 more than one person on average died per (11,813 total) in vehicle crashes while not wearing seatbelts.

“Make it Click” is a national mobilization from May 15, 2026 through May 31, 2026. During this mobilization, Falls City Police Officers, along with other Law Enforcement Agencies will be conducting HIGH SATURATION PATROLS, focusing on seatbelt and child restraint use. Officers will have a ZERO TOLERANCE approach to seatbelt violations. We are encouraging everyone to take two seconds to “Make it Click”. Buckling up is more than just a great idea -IT’S THE LAW.

The Falls City Police Department thanks our citizens and community partners for their continuing support and reminds everyone to BUCKLE UP, EVERY TRIP, EVERY TIME!

Public Notice

The Falls City Police Department has recently received inquiries into the legality in the operation of e-bikes and Motor-Driven cycles on public streets by both children and adults. Nebraska state statute allows for the operation of e-bikes (which have fully operative pedals) on public streets while following the same rules of the road as a bicycle. The Motor-Driven cycles, which include electric motor scooters and electric motorcycles are in most cases classified as a motorcycle or minibike are either not allowed to operate on public streets, or may operate on public streets with the proper licensing and registration.

If you have a questions please feel free to contact the Falls City Police Department at 402-245-4422.
