The Harford County Public Library System had our Staff Day on Monday! Many Fallston staff celebrated milestones at the event! From the left, Iris celebrated 2 years with the library. Mandy has been a page at the library for 25 years! Allison has worked in Fallston for 5 years. Beth has been with the library for more than 15 years. And Abby has been with the library for 2 years and has completed the Library Associate Training Institute. Congratulations to all!

A Call For Boxes!

The Friends group is in need of medium size boxes for the used book sale.

If you have boxes from Amazon or another shipping source you can bring them to the circulation desk during regular Library hours.

The boxes should be no smaller than 14x10x6 inches and no bigger than 19x16x9 inches.

Large enough to pack 15-20 books but not so big that they are too heavy to lift.

The Friends of the Fallston Library met on Monday, September 14th.

During the meeting, we reviewed library happenings, current membership, and volunteer needs for the November used book sale.

As of Monday, there are 32 members that have joined or renewed their membership.

For a community our size this is surprising.

Maybe folks don't realize you have to renew each year. The cost is $5 for an individual, $10 for family $15 for organization and $25 for business.

A while back, there was concern that our library might be closed due to funding. Folks rallied and it was not.

Friends of the Library are advocates of the library.

If you love the library, please consider renewing your membership or becoming a new Friend of the Library.

Benefits include:
✔️ A quarterly email newsletter summarizing Friends' meetings
✔️ Access to "Preview Night" a members only access to the first night of the Used Book Sale in both fall and spring.
✔️ Quarterly meetings to meet individuals who share your love of the Library.
✔️ Knowing you support the Library and appreciate the role it plays in our community.

Membership is old school. Print a brochure (link in comments) and mail or drop off OR grab one at the library, fill it out and give to library staff. If you are a member, check your email for renewal notice.

Thank you for supporting the Fallston Library with your previous membership. Our new membership year begins July 1, 2026. Please consider joining again. Your membership helps to fund extra programming for our community at the Fallston Branch.

Fallston Friends Board Members
A formal vote to retain the current members was taken on our annual meeting June 8th. All board members were voted in to remain in their current positions for another year.
