From the streets to a place of his own. 💙

After years of homelessness, shelters, treatment centers, and surviving day to day, Robert is now holding the keys to a place he can finally call home.

His journey wasn’t easy. It came with challenges, setbacks, and hard moments—but through it all, Robert never gave up.

With support from his care coordinator Alexis, and encouragement from partners like Ministry on the Margins and Heavens Helpers Soup Cafe , Robert had people who believed in him every step of the way. Through volunteering and community, he found not just support, but purpose.

Today is more than just getting an apartment. It’s stability. It’s a fresh start. It’s proof that recovery and change are possible, even after some of life’s hardest battles.

“More impact in months than years.” 💙

One of our participants shared this about their experience working with care coordinator Alexis:

“I’ve worked with a lot of different supports over the years, but Alexis has done more to help me in a few months than others did in years. She genuinely cares about people and goes above and beyond, not because it’s just a job, but because she truly wants to make a difference.

She’s made me feel heard, supported, and valued, and a big part of where I am today is because of her encouragement. She reminds me that even if we can’t fix everything, caring about people and setting the right example still matters.”

From homelessness to graduation day. 💙

Last week, care coordinator Lindsey had the honor of attending the college graduation of a former participant, Scott.

When Lindsey first began working with Scott, he was facing homelessness, unemployment, addiction, and mental health challenges. His journey was not easy, but through persistence and determination, he stayed committed to change.

With support from his family and care coordinator, Scott has reached incredible milestones. He is now 1 year and 4 months sober and recently earned his certification in Heavy Equipment Operating.

Stories like Scott’s are a powerful reminder that recovery and stability are possible with the right support, resilience, and hard work.
