School is almost done so let’s celebrate. Come join us tonight for the Washington’s End Of The Year Celebration. There will be bounce houses, food trucks, balloon animals and more. A great night to celebrate all the hard work our students and teachers put into this school year. We hope to see you there!

The school is almost finished and summer will soon be here. Washington PTA invites to to come out for our Year End Event with food, bouncy houses, raffle baskets and more! There will be multiple bounce houses and obstacle course. We will have the food trucks Windsor Waffles, Jumbo Sloppy Joe’s, and new this year Kona ice. Be on the lookout for your children’s coupon for their free meal on Tuesday, June 2nd. We also will have temporary tattoo station and bubble stations hosted by Ellsworth Entertainment! We are excited to see you all there.

Washington Staff dressed in green to show support with those with mental health challenges. Way to go Washington.

Washington Elementary School staff participated in Be Seen in Green Day on May 14. Educators across the District were encouraged to wear green to improve mental health awareness and show support for those experiencing mental health challenges.

Well done 4th and 5th graders. All your hard work showed in your performance. Also thank you Mr. Underwood and Miss Thomas for all the work you put in with the students.

Washington Elementary School's hand chime group, fifth grade orchestra, and fourth and fifth grade choir performed a concert at Washington and then went on tour. The tour took them to Fargo VA Hospital and the Trollwood Senior Center and then to Xcalibur Entertainment for lunch and bowling.

Our first graders at Washington are awesome. Look at the beans they have been growing.

First Graders in Sandra Sterling’s class at Washington Elementary School wrapped up their unit in CKLA about Fairy Tales. After reading Jack and the Beanstalk, students learned about seeds, plant life cycles, and plant needs. Just like Jack, they planted five bean seeds and in no time at all, their bean seeds grew and grew and grew as well. They grew until they reached their paper castles in the sky just like in the story.

This spring Washington will again be doing a cereal box drive! It will run from May 18-22. Students are encouraged to bring a new, unopened box of cereal for the drive. Students can bring their boxes to the front of the building, where they will be collected all week. Mrs. Balluff will be delivering them to 2 local food pantries afterwards (The Husky Hutch & Olivet Food Pantry).

Third graders at Washington Elementary School are counting down to summer with an A-Z theme, celebrating a new letter each day. Last week, they landed on E is for Earth Day and the students picked up trash around the exterior of the school to make it a cleaner and more welcoming place for everyone.
