‼ 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲‼

The Sanford Ambulance Citizens EMS Academy is a free, hands-on opportunity for community members to see and learn what Sanford Ambulance paramedics and EMTs do every day. The academy will teach participants what to do before an ambulance arrives in addition to other skills to use in actual emergencies.

The academy will take place on Thursday evenings from September 3 - October 15 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Only a limited number of applicants will be accepted; applications are due by August 31, 2026.

It’s Meals on Wheels day! Our team is out delivering meals to community members who may not otherwise have an easy way to get a nutritious meal! We are grateful for the opportunity to spend part of our day giving back! 💙

𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀?!?

The Sanford Ambulance building in Thief River Falls just got a HUGE renovation! We were excited to celebrate with a community-wide open house on Wednesday, August 12! 🎉

Construction on the building began in November 2025, and the transformation is pretty incredible.

Before the renovation, we had to rent the house next door just to have enough sleeping space for two crews. Now, the station has more bedrooms, with enough room for a twin bed, nightstand, desk, chair and recliner in each room.

But that’s not all!

✨ A new office with three computers, giving crews a dedicated space to complete paperwork after calls
✨ A brand-new ambulance wash bay
✨ Additional storage space
✨ A commercial exhaust system
✨ New windows
✨ Updates to the station’s sewer lines
✨ More overall space for our crews to work, rest and communicate

This renovation is about so much more than a bigger building. It creates a more functional, comfortable and welcoming environment for the crews who work there, and for the community they serve every day.

We are so excited to see this project come to life and are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this renovation possible! ❤️

Before they ride, make sure you know the laws, rules and safety requirements that apply to their device.

E-bikes and e-scooters are becoming increasingly popular, but they can also reach surprising speeds and come with serious safety risks. AAA – The Auto Club Group recently launched its E-Ride Ready campaign to help parents better understand these fast-moving devices and keep young riders safe.

The free E-Ride Safety Guide can help families:

🔹 Understand how e-bikes and e-scooters operate
🔹 Choose a properly fitted helmet designed for the speed and type of device
🔹 Know where riders can safely and legally ride
🔹 Set clear safety expectations before a child’s first ride

A few minutes of preparation could help prevent a serious injury. Talk with your child about e-ride safety BEFORE they hit the road, sidewalk or trail.

Our team in Thief River Falls has just completed another successful blood drive! 🩸

This year, 109 units of blood products were collected!! Over the past 10 years, approximately 749 units of blood products have been collected! That’s potentially hundreds of lives impacted by people simply taking the time to donate.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, helped organize, or encouraged someone else to give! ❤️
