During this year’s Turkey Bingo, Ms. Gale and Mrs. Johnson guided families through a meaningful U-Time activity. Together, families wrote down what they were grateful for, and their handwritten leaves were then displayed in the cafeteria for everyone to enjoy. It was a wonderful way to bring our school community together in a shared celebration of gratitude.

Independence would like to give a big Shout Out to our Student Council and Miss Moser for putting on a food drive. They collected 1,033 items and filled 75 bags to hand out to families for Thanksgiving.

Our 5th grade Bulldogs had a great time participating in "Save a Life Bootcamp". This event was put on by Essentia Health. They taught the 5th graders life-saving skills such as CPR, Stroke Symptoms, and Wound Care. Thank you Essentia Health for all that you do. ❤️

Independence Elementary had their first assembly of the school year. We celebrated our September Leaders of the Pack, our August and September basketball winners (sponsored by Plaza Azteca Fargo). Hey there Bulldog Families!!
It looks like our there are a couple of spooky events happening in our district. West Fargo High School and Sheyenne High School are inviting elementary and middle school students and families to attend a "👻Scare Fair🎪" and a "🧟Halloween Festival🍭. Go and have some fun playing games, winning prizes, dancing to the music, and enjoy some sweet treats. Hope to see you there!!

The lost and found has really grown since the beginning of the school year. If you see something that belongs in your home, please come into Door 1 on the West side of the school and grab it from the table.

All items will be donated at the end of the school day on September 26th.
