Each year the University Police and Safety office donates books to the Sanford Children’s Hospital. This year Jennifer Quenette, Associate Director of Public Health & Safety, coordinated with Hillery Mork, Children's Miracle Network Program Director, to donate 150 books to kids in the hospital this Holiday Season.

The Red River Regional Dispatch Center (RRRDC) has recently received reports from citizens who received phone calls in which callers are falsely claiming to represent Xcel Energy and telling people if they don’t pay their energy bill, their electricity will be shut off. These are scam calls.

If you receive a call like this, filing a police report is not necessary. The Fargo PD encourages citizens who receive similar calls to use caution and never share personal information, debit/credit card numbers, or wire money as a result of an unexpected or unsolicited call if you cannot validate the caller’s authenticity.
