“I collect Fargo’s trash a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters. Not the mortgage, the garage - not anything. During my routes, I’m free.” - Bin Diesel

If you spot Bin Diesel in your neighborhood this summer, make sure to rev your engine to let him know that you “don’t turn your back on family.” Each week, he’ll be collecting your trash as fast and furiously as possible.

During last night's City Commission meeting, we honored City Forester Scott Liudahl and Children's Librarian Cindy Liudahl on their retirement after a combined 51 years of service.

Scott joined The City in 1996 and spent 30 years shaping Fargo's urban forest, building regional partnerships and leading beloved events like Arbor Day and Reforest the Red.

Cindy joined the Fargo Public Library in 2005, spending her final 14 years in Children's Services, where she made the library a place kids and families were always glad to call their own. Commissioner Michelle Turnberg, liaison Commissioner to the Library, joined in presenting Cindy's recognition plaque. Cindy is retiring after 21 years of service.

Their legacies will live on in Fargo's trees, the programs they helped build and the lives they touched along the way. Thank you, Scott and Cindy! 💙🌳📚

This evening, Tuesday, June 9, City Hall and the Spirit of the Sandbagger monument are illuminated in red, white and blue in recognition of Fargo's City election.

Today, Fargo residents cast their votes for Mayor and two seats on the City Commission — shaping the leadership that will guide our community for the next four years. Local elections are democracy at its most direct, where every vote reflects a neighbor's voice and a shared investment in our city's future.

If you haven't voted yet, there's still time to make your voice heard.
