Recognizing the signs that someone may be struggling can save a life.

FirstLink is offering a FREE safeTALK Su***de Alertness Training in Minot on Friday, June 5th from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Minot Public Library.

This 3-hour training helps participants learn how to:
• Recognize when someone may be having thoughts of su***de
• Start a supportive conversation
• Connect individuals to life-saving resources and support

The training is open to anyone age 15+ and CEUs are available for several professions.

Mental health awareness and su***de prevention are community efforts, and opportunities like this help equip more people to respond with confidence and care.

Jeremy and Skyler had the opportunity to teach a large group of ShareHouse, Inc. employees this morning about assessing for risk of su***de using the Columbia Su***de Severity Rating Scale! It is so important for professionals to know how to ask about su***de, and what to do when someone says that they are thinking of su***de. Thank you for having this conversation with us today!

FirstLink had the opportunity to attend and share at Southeast Behavioral Health Clinic’s 2nd Annual Community L.I.N.K event focused on the crisis response network in the area.

It was a great morning of learning, discussion, and networking. FirstLink provided su***de risk assessment training so the professionals in attendance are prepared to assist someone in crisis! We also participated in a panel with other agencies related to crisis.

FirstLink is spending the day at a Soul Shop training hosted by American Foundation for Su***de Prevention - North Dakota Chapter.

Soul Shop is a su***de intervention training for faith leaders. Our outreach team enjoyed being able to connect with community members and provide more information about our services!
