Were you not able to get a lifeguard class completed before summer or you just turned 15yr? Faribault Parks and Recreation is offering a lifeguard class Aug. 14-16th at the Faribault Community Center. Register online or in-person through Aug. 7th.

The end of summer is near, but not until the Faribault Family Aquatic Centers Muddy Mile on August 12th! This year the event is running from 12-6pm. Obstacles are intended for ages 5-12yr and the cost is $10 per person.

The City of Faribault Parks & Recreation Department is closely monitoring air quality due to wildfire smoke, and is following the professional guidance from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

Program and Activity Update:

The Faribault Family Aquatic Center is closed until air conditions improve today 7.16.26.

When the AQI reaches 175 or higher, Parks & Recreation will cancel outdoor programs and activities.
When possible, outdoor camps will be relocated indoors. Please stay tuned for updates, as conditions can change throughout the day.
Free, at-leisure public amenities, such as the Viaduct Park Splash Pad, will remain open. However, we encourage everyone to use caution and to individually follow guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health to protect yourself, your family, and your pets.

Come celebrate Independence Day at the Faribault Family Aquatic Center this Saturday from 12-6pm, with tot and sensory friendly time from 11-12pm.
There will be bingo, yard games and special prizes.
