There is blowing dust across parts of central Illinois this afternoon resulting in visibilities less than a mile or worse at times. The threat should subside as the sunsets. Please use caution when travelling. Pull aside, stay alive!

MONDAY TORNADO RISK: Currently we are at a CONDITIONAL 7 out of 10. I stress the word conditional, because there is a possibility that Monday AM rain and storm activity WASHES OUT the atmosphere and greatly limits PM/evening severe activity.

Should that activity not linger or happen, then the atmosphere would be expected to be supportive of strong tornadoes.

We do not have clarity on how this pans out, and we may need to wait to see how things trend overnight into tomorrow morning before understanding the afternoon potential.

Any high-impact severe weather would be after 2p *IF* the morning round is not widespread or long lasting.

If you don’t want severe weather, widespread rain activity in the morning lasting past noon is what you should root for.
