While Assistant Chief Siegel is a music buff and often attends concerts, he emphatically denies ever crowd-surfing (well, at least in recent years). Assistant Chief Fritz loves adventures and would probably enjoy an African safari, but so far, it’s still just on his bucket list. When asked about his iconic photo, Chief McCoy confidently declared, “Remember the Alamo!” Respectfully, sir, we don’t think you were there in 1836.

While AI provides humorous photos and is a modern tool used across many industries, here are some safety tips you should be aware of.

• Refrain from providing sensitive or confidential information, as AI can store and may reuse the data you provide without your consent.
• Proofread and verify information given through AI, as there may be instances of mistakes or bias that could affect your results.
• Follow AI policies outlined by your school or workplace to comply with educational or safety standards.

AI is often used by scammers to impersonate a known person or a trusted business. Check with your sources directly if you receive unusual requests. AI can now easily mimic voices or images to convince victims to provide personal information, money, or goods.

The rain cleared just in time for Drones & Cones!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by Joya Park this morning to check out our DFR drone program and chat with our officers. It was great sharing how the program works, handing out some swag, and cooling off with free snow cones.

Sgt. Cortes and Officer Moreno represented our department this morning at the Run For The Blue Dallas 5K, completing the race in full duty gear. This annual fundraising race was established in response to the tragic events of July 7, 2016, to support the families of fallen and injured officers.

We are proud of Sgt. Cortes and Officer Moreno for representing our department at this event.

🚓 Meet Tim Ramsey, one of our dedicated Citizens on Patrol volunteers!

After graduating from the Citizens Police Academy, Tim joined the COPs and has been volunteering with our department for the last four years.

Tim assists with a variety of department duties, most recently working the department's tent at the Independence Day Celebration. When asked what he enjoys most about volunteering, Tim shared that it gives him the opportunity to give back to his community in a meaningful way.

We are incredibly grateful for volunteers like Tim. Their dedication, service, and commitment make a lasting impact on our department and our community!

Back by popular demand, our team showed up to Teen Leadership Camp! This time, Lt. Roddy, Sgt. Vazquez, and Ofc. Alabsi joined the group to share their unique experiences in law enforcement and answer questions from the teens.

We wrapped up the session with a fun team challenge that tested their coordination and listening skills. Thanks for having us, ! We always enjoy connecting with the next generation of leaders.
