Congratulations to our FJHS VEX Robotics team 75442c, Atomic Overdrive, and their World Championship placement! Atomic Overdrive had a lot of fun at the World Championship!

They started strong, then began running into issues with their robot during different rounds. They ended up 68 out of 84 in their division at the end of the qualification rounds, there were a total of seven divisions with everyone competing for the same world title.

Since they weren't selected for an alliance for the division finals, their competition ended earlier than they had hoped. While they were not able to run the autonomous challenges do to the issues their robot had, we are so proud of the team getting as far as they did at the World's Championship!

Congratulations on all your hard work and perseverance, Atomic Overdrive! We are proud of you!

Congratulations to our Farmersville High School First Robotics Team, 8749! Not only did they qualify for the Worlds competition, but 8749 finished 11th out of the 75 teams competing from all over the world!

As if that wasn't an amazing accomplishment all on its own, our 8749 robotics team was awarded the very first FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Imagery Award in honor of Jack Kamen. This award celebrates outstanding visual aesthetic integration, recognizing teams that combine impressive engineering with a strong, consistent, and attractive team appearance, covering the robot, pit, and team uniforms. It honors a team's dedication to branding and art.

We are so proud of these hard working Farmers and how they represent Farmersville High School! Congratulations!

Team 87490Z Men in Purple may not have secured an alliance to move forward in Worlds, but their achievements are truly commendable. With immense pride, they can reflect on their outstanding performance, ranking 160th out of 867 teams at the event. On a global scale, where 6,824 teams competed, 87490Z secured an impressive 764th place, positioning themselves within the top 11% worldwide. This remarkable team, comprised of students who've largely grown together since 7th grade and debuted at Worlds in their middle school years, showcases the power of dedication and excellence. The program's greatness is undoubtedly attributed to the guidance of exceptional teachers and mentors, coupled with the unwavering support of the community. These outstanding seniors concluded their journey on a high note, leaving invaluable insights for Junior Liam to build upon next year. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the ISD who contributed to the success of this incredible program.
