FOUR ARRESTED AFTER GANG RELATED DRIVE-BY SHOOTING IN BERNICE
The Union Parish Sheriff's Office has made four arrests in connection with a gang related drive-by shooting that occurred in April 2026 inside the city limits of Bernice. The incident involved multiple individuals firing weapons in a residential area, resulting in bodily injury and property damage. One person was struck by gunfire multiple times and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
As the investigation progressed, UPSO investigators identified multiple individuals involved in the incident. Investigators determined the shooting was related to criminal street gang activity and identified four suspects. Investigators also determined that numerous individuals were endangered during the incident, including several people inside a residence and others who were outside in the area at the time of the shooting, including children.
As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for all four individuals. All individuals have since been arrested and booked into the Union Parish Detention Center. Those arrested are:
