Farmingdale Village is a historic community that was established in 1691. Centrally located along the Nassau/Suffolk line, Farmingdale Village covers approximately 1.25 square miles and is home to over 200 businesses and about 9,000 residents. Whether you are a first time visitor or a local Daler, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our Village. I hope our visitors can see why our Board of Trustees and I chose to settle here and raise our families. We are surrounded by world renowned beaches. A short 50 minute train ride gets you to the greatest city in the world. Take a one hour ride to the east end of Long Island and step back in time and get a flavor of what Long Island looked like a short time ago. While you're here, I hope you have a chance to dine in one of our many great restaurants and shop in our wonderful variety of retail stores located in our downtown. Enjoy all we have to offer and we hope to see you down on Main Street! Mayor Ralph Ekstrand
