Get to know Jon Atkin, officially endorsed candidate of the Davis County Republican Party.

Jon Atkin is the only candidate currently employed as a law enforcement officer and the only candidate serving within the Davis County Sheriff’s Office. Jon and his wife, Sara (Skousen) chose Davis County to raise their family because of the people, values, and quality of life the community provides. Having lived in Davis County for more than 25 years, Jon attended Clearfield High, Northridge High, the DATC, and later served an LDS mission in Manchester, England. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Weber State University and has completed more than 10,000 hours of military, law enforcement, EMS, and firefighter training.

Jon is an Internal Affairs Sergeant and Investigator with the Sheriff’s Office, a Captain-Intelligence Officer in the Utah Air National Guard with more than 14 years of combined enlisted and officer experience in Military Police and Intelligence, and a part-time firefighter/paramedic in Davis County. His background includes serving as a SWAT Assistant Team Leader, criminal investigator, background investigations, training, policy development, budget management, officer disciplinary processes, and communications. He maintains a Top Secret/SCI clearance with real-world intelligence and international military experience in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Karianne Lisonbee is the Official Utah Republican Party Convention Nominee. She is a problem solver with a proven track record. In sixteen years of public service, Karianne has never wavered on her principles. Get to know Scott Fletcher, The Davis County Republican Party Candidate for County Commission Seat B

As a lifelong resident of Davis County, I have over 60 years of deep roots in this community. Growing up in Centerville and Bountiful; We raised our family in Layton; Our children and grandchildren live in Davis County. I am vested in Davis County Community.

As a Physicist, I bring over 40 years of leadership experience managing multi-million/billion-dollar complex programs, budgets, teams in engineering and executive roles. I will employ that experience and tenacity, focusing on accountability, transparency, disciplined decision-making, and delivering results - not excuses. I have worked extensively with national congressional leaders on funding, and policy, giving me firsthand experience in how taxpayer dollars are allocated, and building coalitions achieving practical results.

I am running to bring fiscal discipline and common sense back to county government, stop unnecessary spending, demand efficiency, and ensure growth pays its own way instead of shifting costs onto residents.

My priorities are clear: lower taxes through efficiency; transparent and accountable government; smart planning for growth; strong public safety; data driven decisions; incorporation of citizens in transparent decision making; and economic development that creates high-quality local jobs.

I will focus on results, not politics, and protect the long-term future of Citizens of Davis County.
