Happy from out succulent garden! 🪴

Our new care farm is a big project so sometimes it's nice to have a garden with a smaller scale for perspective. Our succulent garden is it's own beautiful little scene complete with it's own farm house. It still needs water, weeding, and love like our regular gardens, but much less.

Take the time today to enjoy the scenery around you, big and small! 🌅

Jonathan reflects on the process of creating a mask for Unmasking Brain Injury, a one of a kind art project where survivors of brain injury create unique masks to share their stories. Jonathan never expected the project to help him express himself as much as it did, and he never would have guessed what else it did for him.

We were so honored to present our Unmasking Brain Injury display at the Brain Injury Association of New York State 2026 Annual Conference. Our team including Izzy and Tiffany, plus members Mandy and Pablo, took a road trip to Saratoga Springs to share their stories, and how creating a mask made it easier to open up. Our own Tiffany Jones presented on the Unmasking project, how it helped so many of our participants, and how other agencies can do the same.

Thank you to Izzy, Mandy, Pablo, and Tiffany for representing Bridges!

is heating up! 🌶️

When Cathy started planting our jalapenos and bell peppers 🫑 Justin and Sebastian popped in to say, "Where's the heat🔥?" So Cathy came back to the farm with habaneros and ghost peppers in hand and set them on a mission to grow their own hot peppers, and make their own hot sauce. Since then they've been hard at work planting, weeding, and watering their incredibly hot peppers. We can't wait to see what they end up with.

Anyone have a favorite hot pepper to recommend, or any hot sauce making tips?

There's always something new happening at the day program at Bridges, but that's not what makes it special. It's the moments where connections and friendships form. When we're able to open up, learn about each other, step out of our bubble, and become a part of something bigger.

We wanted to take a moment to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our Buy a Bale Fundraiser at CountryMax Stores!

Throughout the month of May, our incredible supporters purchased 23 bales for our animals. Your generosity helps provide essential care and nutrition for the animals we love, and we are so grateful for your support.

A special thank you to CountryMax for hosting this fundraiser and to all of our ongoing supporters who continue to make a difference. From the Bridges family and all of our animal ambassadors thank you for helping us care for the animals and further our mission each and every day.

We truly couldn't do it without you!

Happy ! 🚜

This week was a big one for us as we made a final push to get all our plants in the ground. Members and staff all got their hands in the dirt as the last of our tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini got planted and trellised.🥒 Many hands make light work as what we thought would take all day was done in a couple of hours. Teamwork really does make the Bridges dream work! 🍅
