On June 17-20, four Farmington High School students will travel to the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, where the top student competitors from across the globe gather to demonstrate their health science knowledge and professional skills.

Our students earned this opportunity by placing highly at the New Mexico HOSA State Leadership Conference among a field of more than 980 competitors. Reaching the international level in health science is an extraordinary achievement. Great work!

Kudos to our FMS teachers and advisors for their incredible work with our students.

Huge thanks to the FMS Board of Education for supporting our teams and programs.

On June 13-18, Students from Heights, Farmington High, and Piedra Vista will represent FMS at the National History Day Conference at the University of Maryland, in College Park.

In previous years, FMS had a maximum of 50 students participating in NHD. This year, that number tripled to 150 students across all four middle schools, FHS, and PV who took part in our Library Day in November. From there, 100 students advanced to Regionals, 63 regional competitors earned a spot at State, and now 15 state competitors have earned the right to represent FMS on the national stage. Reaching this stage is a testament to remarkable growth and dedication. Best of luck!

Kudos to our FMS teachers and advisors for their incredible work with our students.

Huge thanks to the FMS Board of Education for supporting this event.

Hear from 5 FMS graduates who carried this chapter of their lives to a close. They reflect on the teachers who shaped them, the people who supported them, and what’s next. They also answer what they would change about the world.

Thank you, Bella, Clara, Edwardo, Soraya, and Lucas! We are cheering you on as you begin your next chapter.

To honor the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the New Mexico History Museum will screen 7 student documentaries throughout July, and our very own Alina Bonilla and Addysen Martinez of Heights Middle School, Elysa Heil of Piedra Vista High School, and Stevie Stone of Mesa View MS - 4 Houses 1 School earned a spot in this prestigious showcase. Each student is also being invited to present their film IN PERSON at the museum's auditorium.

We are especially proud to spotlight Stevie Stone’s documentary “Title IX and How It Impacted Women in Sports,” which you can view here: 👉 https://youtu.be/Eqix-STEPz4.

Stevie conducted extensive research and interviewed retired Boys and Girls Wrestling Coach and New Mexico Sports Hall of Famer Herb Stinson to craft a compelling, insightful documentary capturing Title IX's lasting impact on women in sports with a meaningful local angle.

Congratulations, Alina, Addysen, Elysa, and Stevie, your hard work is shining on an extraordinary stage!
