Hello everyone!

Every year the Student Senate works with the campus community to host the annual Leadership Banquet to celebrate the hard work of students, staff, and faculty here at UMF.

In addition to others, at this banquet we give out three awards:
The Michael Winston Award for seniors,
the Jill Schwab Underclassman Award,
and the Theo Kalikow Award for Faculty and Staff.

Below are the nomination forms for the three awards. I ask that you nominate anyone you feel is deserving of recognition at this ceremony by Monday, March 20th.

Attention all UMF students!!
I’m thrilled to announce that in collaboration with the Student Senate, Narrow Gauge Cinema is offering free movies showings to all enrolled students! All you need to enter is your student ID. I hope you all take advantage of this great opportunity and go see some free movies! 😁

Administrative members are attending our meeting at 7pm tonight in North Dining hall to discuss changes in class times due to the new three credit system.

Senate meetings are always open to the student body. We welcome you to join us tonight and give input on what class schedules will look like going forward!

Spring Fling is upon us, let’s let loose a little, have some fun, and destress before finals week!

Student Senate has put together a bunch of activities we think you guys will love and ACE is hosting the annual Spring Fling Dance.

Thursday
Mario Kart in Fusion 101 from 6:00 to 7:30pm
Bingo in North Dining Hall (there will be prizes) from 8:00 to 10:00pm

Friday
BBQ on Mantor Green 11:35-1:00pm
T-Shirt Distribution on Mantor Green from 11:00 to 12:00pm; limited supplies come while they last!
Co****le Tournament on Mantor Green (there will be prizes) from 11:00 to 12:00pm; please sign up your teams in the attached form!
Spring Fling Dance (hosted by ACE) in South Dining Hall 9:00pm to 1:00am

Saturday
Tie Dyeing on Mantor Green from 10:00 to 2:00pm; Bring your Spring Fling tee shirts or your own white tee
Cotton Candy on Mantor Green available 11:00 to 4:00pm
Photobooth in the Student Center Commuter Lounge available from 11:00 to 4:00pm
Faced Painting on Mantor Green from 12:00-3:00pm
Avengers Movie in Lincoln Auditorium from 6:00 to 8:30
Karaoke at the Landing from 8:00 to 9:00pm

Congrats to our Paper Plate Award winners this week!
Spring Fling Chair Allen won “Dam Busy Beaver”, Senator Howes won “Hard worker beaver”, and Senator Eldredge won “Sleever Beaver”. Great job guys!
Also, we are yet to have pictures, but congrats to our new Executive Board! I’m sure we’ll get some pictures soon to update you all with.
