In our Indigenous cultures, the mother figure represents the earth and the foundation of our strength. Today, we celebrate every person who provides a "mother’s love"—safety, warmth, and a way forward—to the children in our community.

To those healing from the past and those providing a safe home for the future: You are the heartbeat of our community.
Motherhood isn’t always defined by birth—it is defined by the choice to protect, to stay, and to nurture.
In our community, we see the incredible strength of grandmothers, aunties, and sisters who have stepped into the circle to raise the next generation. Today, we honor the matriarchal spirit that keeps our children safe and our culture alive.
