It’s been a little quiet on our page lately, but our crews have definitely been staying busy serving the community.

Here’s a quick look at our call volume so far this year:

• January: 118 calls for service
• February: 113 calls for service

Our members continue to respond to a wide range of emergencies including fire calls, EMS incidents, alarms, motor vehicle accidents, and public service calls. We appreciate the continued support from our community and the dedication of our firefighters and EMS providers who answer the call day and night.

We’ll be getting back to posting more updates, safety information, and community news soon.

Farmington Fire & EMS – Incident Response
Date: February 16th, 2026

On the morning of February 16th, 2026, Farmington EMS was dispatched to the area of 167 Route 11 for a reported medical emergency. Shortly thereafter, updated information indicated a motor vehicle rollover with possible entrapment, prompting a full fire and rescue response.

Farmington Ambulance 2 (A2) responded with one member, Lt. Holmes, while Farmington Ambulance 1 (A1) was committed to another emergency call. Due to multiple calls in town, mutual aid from Rochester Fire & Frisbie Ems was requested

Upon arrival, crews located a vehicle on its side against a tree with one occupant trapped inside. Captain Wentworth established command, while Rochester Fire personnel worked to stabilize the vehicle enough for crews from Farmington and Rochester to safely extricate the patient.

Following assessment, the patient was carefully extricated and transferred to a waiting Frisbie ambulance. The patient was then transported to the hospital by Frisbie EMS for further evaluation and care.

During this incident, Farmington EMS was dispatched to an additional medical emergency in town. Mutual aid assistance from Milton Fire handled that call while Farmington units remained committed to the rescue scene.

Farmington Fire & EMS would like to extend sincere appreciation to Strafford County Dispatch, Rochester Fire, Frisbie EMS, Milton Fire, Farmington Police and all off-duty personnel who responded to assist. The teamwork and coordination demonstrated by all agencies helped ensure a safe and effective outcome for the patient and the community.

Farmington Fire Department Quickly Contain Central Street Fire – Crews Praised for Rapid, Coordinated Attack

FARMINGTON, NH – On Thursday, November 6, 2025, at approximately 2045, the Farmington Fire Department was dispatched to 124 Central Street for a reported fire on the rear deck of a multi-unit residential building.

Farmington Engine 3 responded and immediately initiated a first-alarm assignment due to the potential for rapid fire spread. While en route, Farmington Police reported heavy fire showing from the rear of the structure and updated the corrected address was 114 central street.

Farmington Engine 3 arrived moments later. Crews rapidly deployed a handline to the rear of the structure and executed a swift, aggressive transitional attack—knocking down heavy fire conditions on the exterior and preventing further spread. Rochester Chief 2 arrived assume command and Rochester Engine 4 and Milton Truck 5 made an excellent interior push to the second floor, where they encountered heavy fire conditions. Crews worked seamlessly together to extinguish the blaze and hold it to the second-floor apartment.

Thanks to the first-due crew’s quick action and coordination, the fire was contained to the area of origin and prevented from extending into adjacent units. Mutual aid companies from Rochester, Milton, New Durham, Alton, Wakefield, Strafford and Wolfeboro responded to assist, with Frisbie EMS providing medical standby.

No injuries were reported. The building’s occupants were safely accounted for.

The Farmington Fire Department extends its sincere thanks to all mutual aid partners for their outstanding teamwork and support. The professionalism and coordination displayed by all agencies played a vital role in preventing further loss and ensuring the safety of residents and firefighters alike.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Farmington Fire & Rescue – October 2025 Incident Summary

During the month of October 2025, Farmington Fire & Rescue responded to 118 total incidents, including 84 EMS calls and 34 fire-related calls.
Our crews were once again reminded that emergencies don’t wait for convenient times — whether it’s early morning, late at night, or right around dinnertime, we’re here and ready to respond.

We also provided mutual aid to neighboring communities 17 times, highlighting the teamwork that keeps our region strong and supported.

October by the Numbers:

Total Calls: 118

EMS: 84

Fire: 34

Mutual Aid Given: 17

Overlapping Calls: 14 (11.86%)

Busiest Day: Friday (26 calls)

Busiest Hour: 6 PM

While the numbers show a busy month, they also reflect the dedication of the men and women who proudly serve this community, ready to respond at a moment’s notice, 24 hours a day.

As we move into the colder months, please take a moment to check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and make sure your heating systems and chimneys are inspected and cleaned. These small steps go a long way in keeping your family and home safe this winter.

October 24, 2025

Farmington Fire Quickly Contain Bathroom Fire on Dodge Cross Road

FARMINGTON, NH – At approximately 4:21 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Farmington Fire Department was dispatched to 106 Dodge Cross Road for a report of a possible fire in a bathroom. The 911 caller reported heavy smoke inside the residence but no visible flames.

Based on the initial information, Rochester Fire and Milton Fire were automatically dispatched. Farmington Engine 3 responded with two personnel. While units were en route, dispatch advised that all occupants had safely exited the residence and that heavy smoke was visible in the area.

Upon arrival, Lieutenant MacHenry reported heavy smoke showing from the structure and immediately struck a first alarm for additional support. Crews initiated an interior investigation and located an active fire in the ceiling area of the bathroom, at the A-B corner of the structure.
Captain Wentworth assumed command of the scene.

Thanks to the quick and coordinated actions of Lieutenant MacHenry and Firefighter Sean Guile, along with supporting personnel, the fire was rapidly contained to the bathroom area, preventing further extension into other parts of the home.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
