Today, we honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, as well as their families and loved ones.

We are forever grateful to those who fought for the freedoms we hold dear. You will never be forgotten.

Touch-a-Truck at Winding Trails was a hit 🚒

Lots of exploring, climbing through the rigs, and getting an up-close look at everything.

Appreciate Winding Trails, Inc. having Farmington Fire, Tunxis Hose Company No. 1, East Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, Farmington Motor Sports, Farmington CT Police Department (and many other great local businesses) out for the day. Great event all around!

• Daily Grind
• Wade's Dairy Inc.
• The Riverview

Engine 4 from the Farmington Fire Department had a great time attending the Town of Farmington’s 48th Annual Spring Celebration for the Touch-A-Truck event hosted by the Farmington Polo Club! 🚒

Several hundred kids (and plenty of adults!) stopped by to check out the truck, climb inside, and even sit in the driver’s seat. It was great seeing so many smiling faces and future firefighters in the making!

If you or someone you know is interested in joining our department, we’d love to hear from you. No experience? No problem — we provide all the training you need to become a firefighter or EMT and serve your community in a meaningful way.

At 12:56 a.m. this morning our department along with the Farmington Police Department and AMR ambulance were dispatched to the area of Waterville Road (Route 10) at the intersection of St. Andrews Drive for a 2 car serious MVA with injuries.

While en route information was relayed that there were 2 vehicles down an embankment and that 1 of the vehicles had rolled over.

Farmington Police officers arrived on scene and notified the dispatch center that both vehicles were partially in or adjacent to a stream and would require extrication to remove the occupants of both vehicles.

Mutual aid assistance and additional personnel was requested and provided by Tunxis Hose Company No. 1 with their rescue truck, IAFF Local S-15, UConn Fire Rescue, Station 122 - Farmington with their engine and paramedics, and Farmington Motor Sports provided vehicle stabilization during fire department operations.

In total 6 patients were extricated from their vehicles, evacuated up a steep slope, then treated and transported to local hospitals with reported non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for a short period of time during the incident and has since reopened.
