After 39 years in Downtown Farmington, Clothes Encounters of Farmington will close its doors this Saturday, August 29.

For nearly four decades, Clothes Encounters has been part of the fabric of downtown—serving generations of customers, building relationships, and contributing to the small-business character that makes this community special.

If Clothes Encounters has been part of your downtown routine over the years, stop in Saturday for one last visit, share a favorite memory, and help us wish Larry and Stacy all the best in this next chapter.

Congratulations on 39 incredible years, and thank you for being such a longtime part of Downtown Farmington!

Kids are heading back to school, the evenings are getting a little shorter, and summer in Downtown Farmington is starting to wind down.

Tomorrow night, Rhythms in Riley Park takes the stage one last time for the season with Dig A Phony. Come experience the expansive catalog of The Beatles, and bring the family for one more summer night of live music under the twinkle lights.

Before the show, grab a Syndicate beverage from Lone Light Spirits or pick up a treat from Odysseus Coffee, then find your spot in Riley Park and settle in.

Thank you to this week’s sponsors, , Robert Joseph Realty & CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC, and -Mobile Fiber, and a special thank-you to our presenting sponsor, Credit Union ONE, for supporting Rhythms in Riley Park all season long.

It may be our final Friday concert of summer, but there’s still more to look forward to downtown. The 21st Annual Harvest Moon Celebration will be here before we know it.

"In downtown Farmington, public art is more than a display. In the case of the new Art Park Promenade, it’s a point of connection: a welcoming space to gather, a key pedestrian pathway, and a reflection of development that centers and engages the community. And for residents, it’s an opportunity to stop and look for a tiny piece of themselves. "

Farmington’s Art Park Promenade connects Riley Park with the Hillside Townes development through a pedestrian-friendly space filled with landscaping, seating, and public art.

One more Wednesday in Riley Park before we close the book on Lunch Beats for the summer. đŸŽ¶

Join us tomorrow for our Wednesday finale of Lunch Beats in Riley Park with Yoga at 11:00 featuring Heart Cruise, and Heart Cruise - Ann Arbor begins at noon. Grab a table and your lunch for some live music before heading back to work.

This series has been such a nice way to break up the week: good music, lunch in the park, and a little time outside in the middle of the day. We’re grateful to everyone who spent a Wednesday with us this summer.

Also, big thank-you to the sponsors who helped make the season possible: Dagwood's Deli and Catering, Dearborn Music-Farmington, Bodhi Yoga , Robert Joseph Realty, CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC and MediLodge of Farmington.

Come enjoy one last Lunch Beats with us as the summer music season winds down.

One more week of summer music in Downtown Farmington. đŸŽ¶

It’s hard to believe, but this week brings the final Lunch Beats in Riley Park, Dinan Park Music Series, and Rhythms in Riley Park concerts of the season.

We’ll start Wednesday, August 26, with Bodhi Yoga at 11 and Heart Cruise - Ann Arbor for Lunch Beats. Thursday evening, Lilly Brown closes out the Dinan Park Music Series. Then on Friday, August 28, Dig A Phony takes the stage for our final Rhythms in Riley Park of the summer.

These concerts have given us so many good reasons to gather downtown this season. From lunches in the park, Thursday nights with friends, and Friday evenings under the summer sky, come out for one more week of live music and help us send summer off on a high note.

And after that? We’re officially on the road to Harvest Moon. 🍂

21st Annual Harvest Moon Celebration is officially just four weeks away. 🍂

September 17–19, Riley Park will trade summer concerts for three nights of live music, craft beer and wine, local food, and one of Downtown Farmington’s favorite fall traditions.

This year’s music lineup is set with Full Tilt Boogie - Detroit on Thursday, Mainstreet Soul on Friday, and The Ones and Twos on Saturday.

If Harvest Moon is already on your calendar, this weekend is a good time to grab your tickets. Pick them up at the Farmington Farmers & Artisans Market, Farmington Brewing Company, The Vines Flower and Garden Shop, Meadows Fine Wine & Spirits, or Farmington City Hall.

Four weeks to go. Who’s ready for Harvest Moon?

Downtown Farmington becomes an open-air studio this Saturday. 🎹

Skep Space and the Honeycomb Gallery are hosting a Plein Air Event from 8 am–8 pm, inviting artists of all ages to head outside, find a view that inspires them, and create a work of art right here in Farmington and Farmington Hills.

Registration and canvas check-in begin at 8 am at the Honeycomb Gallery. From there, artists can find their spot around town and get to work. Finished pieces must be returned by 8 pm to be included in the exhibition, with cash prizes awarded at the opening reception on August 27th.

And you don’t have to be an artist to enjoy the day. Come downtown, grab a coffee or lunch, and keep an eye out for easels along the sidewalks and in our parks. It’s a chance to watch artists capture familiar Farmington scenes in real time (and maybe see downtown from a slightly different perspective).

All submitted work will be on display and available for sale at the Honeycomb Gallery through September 25th, with proceeds helping support Skep Space and the gallery.

Come create, come watch, or simply come support the artists and creative spaces that add so much to Downtown Farmington.

Only two Fridays left in Riley Park, so let’s make this one count. đŸŽ¶

This week, we have Rhythms in Riley Park featuring Billy Mack & the Juke Joint Johnnies with The WhatAbouts. Expect a night full of swingin’, jumpin’, rockin’ vintage sounds, with a mix of rockabilly, Americana, lounge, and dance music made for a summer night downtown.

Make an evening of it while you’re here, check out Comicade, which is now open across from Riley Park. Grab dinner at Sidecar Slider Bar - Farmington, and if you need a Syndicate beverage during or after the show, swing by Farmington Brewing Company for a pint.

Then settle in at Riley Park and enjoy one of the last concerts of the season with us.
