We just returned from the community meeting regarding the new all abilities park that will be located at the old tibbets school and we are so excited to have this in our area.
We are calling on our community to get involved and participate in the design and function of this park.
As we say in independent living " nothing About us without us" so let's all get together and plan to attend the next meeting and make sure our voices are heard.

Please come to our Tai Chi class on the 22nd.
This is a stretching and basic movement class that is especially good for muscle memory and BRAIN FUNCTION. Our Tai Chi instructor is a survivor of multiple Traumatic Brain Injuries. Tai Chi has helped him to overcome so much and has enabled him to be able to help others.
Please help us build this class by coming, learning, and supporting your peers.

Jay Boushee, one of the people that SJCI called out to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, has posted his video. He has also made his donation to Team Gleason.
We are the staff at San Juan Center for Independence. We were challenged by our Director to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Fundraiser and Awareness Campaign. We are making our donation to Team Gleason. You can find out more information about Team Gleason at teamgleason.org. We challenge the ARC of the San Juan, The PATH, Glyphic Design, Laura Pate from San Juan College, and Jay Boushee from Farmington High School.
