The Town of Brookhaven Drug Prevention Coalition received a proclamation from the Town recognizing that August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day and the Town of Brookhaven will support, help achieve change and spread awareness, without stigma, on the impact that drug overdose has on community members, family and friends by promoting drug prevention strategies throughout the Town of Brookhaven!

“ Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, joined by the Suffolk County Department of Health Services and Partners in Prevention (PIP), today launched the Suffolk County’ “Just Call” campaign in order to arm the community with information about Suffolk County’s Social Host Law in the week leading up to Thanksgiving celebrations. The campaign kicks off one week ahead of Thanksgiving eve, a known night of celebration and drinking for high school and college age students.”
