Serving the Farmville Area since 1923

Following the adoption by Lions Clubs

Celebrating 109 Years of Service! 🦁💙💛

Today, we proudly celebrate the 109th Anniversary of Lions International, a global organization that has been making a difference in communities around the world since 1917.

For more than a century, Lions have embodied the spirit of service, compassion, leadership, and dedication to helping others. From supporting vision programs and youth initiatives to responding to community needs, Lions continue to prove that when people come together in service, extraordinary things happen.

The Farmville Lions Club is honored to have been part of this remarkable legacy since 1923. For over 100 years, our members have proudly served our community while upholding the values and mission of Lions International.

As we celebrate this milestone, we extend our gratitude to the generations of Lions who have served before us and to those who continue to answer the call to serve today.

Together, we serve. Together, we make a difference.

Happy 109th Anniversary, Lions International!

📣 A Big Thank You from the Farmville Lions Club! 🦁

The Farmville Lions Club would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who purchased a LOVF raffle ticket this year!

While none of our ticket holders were fortunate enough to win the grand prize, we are incredibly grateful for your support. Every ticket purchased helps make a difference because a portion of each dollar spent is returned to our club. Those funds allow us to continue serving our community through vision programs, music scholarships, community projects, and other local initiatives.

Your support helps us continue doing great things for Farmville and the surrounding area, and for that, we sincerely thank you.

If you've ever wondered what the Lions are all about, we'd love to have you join us for a service project or meeting sometime. Come see firsthand how we're making a difference and learn more about becoming part of the world's largest service organization.

Thank you for supporting the Farmville Lions Club and our mission of service! 🦁💙💛

We’ll be sorting donated eyeglasses that will be distributed around the world, helping improve the lives of people with vision challenges. It’s a simple project with a meaningful impact, and we'd love for you to be part of it. 🤓 👓 🦁

💡 We also want your ideas! What service project would you be excited to see happen in our community?

Earlier this month, some of our members gathered at Three Roads for a Seed Packing Party in preparation for our newest environmental service project, Lions Go Wild!

In partnership with VDOT, this project aims to help bring back the rapidly decreasing pollinator population. During our Tuesday evening gathering, members packed more than 1,000 seed packets that will be shared with our educational partners at PECS, Fuqua, lLU-SHLS, and ITC to encourage students and clients to create their own pollinator patches.

It was truly a team effort, with Lions Club members also taking envelopes and stickers home to help us get everything prepared and ready to distribute! And, as always, we loved having all the children participate!

We’ll also have baskets of seeds available at local businesses throughout the community and at our Free Little Library at Lions Park for anyone who would like to plant a pollinator patch of their own.

Together, we can help create much needed habitats for bees, butterflies, and other important pollinators — one patch at a time! 🌸🐝🦋 🌼
