Hey all you gouls and goblins! Our second annual Trunk or Treat will be moved into the Farnham Firehall due to the projected weather tomorrow.
Trick or Treat is from 6-8pm townwide.
Please remember to stay safe, wear reflective clothing/ carry a flashlight and stop by to see us!

It is very sad that this topic has to be brought up because of such a large tragedy. Sadly so many volunteer fire companies are having the same problems with new recruitment. Our department is grateful to have all our amazing volunteers that put in the work to make our community safe. We are always accepting applications and fully understand that fighting fires may not be your cup of tea. Us and many other department/ companies also have other jobs such as ems, fire police, drivers and auxiliary members. If you have any interest in helping feel free to stop at the Village Hall and fill out an application and we will contact you to find the perfect job for you. Hey, you never know you may find something you love to do and never thought you would like.

🔥🔥🔥 HYDRATE!!! HYDRATE!!! HYDRATE!!! If you see this go drink a some water right now. It is hotter than the entire family cooking Thanksgiving dinner in grandmas kitchen. The next few days will be a scorcher. It is very important to drink lots of water and be aware of heat exhaustion. That includes you tough guys and gals. Try and avoid long periods of time in the direct sun and also be aware for kids and pets as they might not know the signs of heat exhaution. Try and avoid being barefoot on blacktop and keep animals off blacktop to avoid burnt paw pads. As a department we love our community and the members of it but we would rather not meet you via ambulance. Enjoy the summer, drink some water and stay cool. If you are still reading this go and grab some more water.🔥🔥🔥

Out with the old and in with the new. We just got 7 brand new Heartstart AED’s to replace all of the ones we had. Special thanks goes out to our EMS chief Andrea McEvoy for going through the back and forth to get these ordered. We appreciate all of the things you do “behind the scenes” to ensure our department has the equipment we need to keep the safety of our community a number one priority. We would also like to thank the EMS line officers and all of our EMT’s for all of the time and dedication you all have given us, the Village of Farnham and the surrounding mutual aid companys. Thank you to our Ladies Auxiliary for donating the money to purchase an AED. We appreciate the constant support we receive from them. The AED’s will soon be making it into our fleet. If you or someone you know are curious on how these or many other emergency equipment work feel free to stop by and fill out an application. We are always looking for new membership and will be glad to train you on any skills on EMS and fire side.
