๐Ÿš’ Community Support in Action! ๐Ÿš’

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this new rescue skid possible for the Farragut Fire Department! Because of your generosity and support, our side-by-side is now equipped with a new 75-gallon skid unit that will help us respond faster and more effectively in emergency situations.

This setup is designed not only for fire suppression, but also for rescue operations in areas where larger trucks canโ€™t easily access. It gives our department another valuable tool to protect our community and assist those in need.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our residents, businesses, and surrounding communities. Your contributions truly make a difference and help keep Farragut safer every day.

Also a big Shoutout to our neighbors to the East Shenandoah Fire Department for all your insight and guidance!

Thank you for standing behind your fire department! โค๏ธ๐Ÿš’

Not only are we honored to have some of the best deputies in Iowa, but we also have the privilege of working alongside one of those outstanding dispatchers here in our own department. She was sent to us by another dispatcher who experienced that hectic day firsthand.

The amount of teamwork it takes between Law Enforcement, Dispatch, Firefighters, and EMS is truly incredible. There are far too many people to thank individually, but we are beyond proud to work with each and every one of you.

There is nothing more humbling than volunteering your time to make sure that on someoneโ€™s worst day, you are there to help and to ensure the best possible outcome.

If you have any interest in Law Enforcement, Dispatch, the Fire Service, or EMS, please reach out to your local agency and ask about applying. These services are always looking for dedicated people who want to make a difference.

Most importantly, none of this would be possible without the support and contributions from the communities and rural areas we serve.

Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible.

The spray distance reaches 20 feet. We extend our sincere gratitude to Todd Fouch for successfully bringing our concept to fruition and to TC Weld in Shenandoah for expertly welding brass to steel. The total project cost remained under $50, and it is anticipated to enhance our fire attack efficiency. We acknowledge that this achievement is made possible through your contributions.

๐Ÿšจ Burn Ban Update โ€“ Farragut Fire District ๐Ÿšจ

This will include Shenandoahโ€™s fire district in Fremont county.

A vote was held tonight regarding a county-wide burn ban, and it was not approved.

However, Fire Chief Kevin Walther has issued a burn ban for the Farragut Fire District effective immediately.

If you have questions about whether you are within the district or about burning regulations, please donโ€™t hesitate to reach out to Asst. Chief Skyler Fuller 712-215-3740.

Our top priority is, and always will be, protecting lives and property. This decision was made with that goal in mind.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

The substantial response from various departments to assist with yesterday's fire aptly demonstrates the profound impact of volunteer efforts. Fremont County faced a considerable challenge yesterday, and the collective efforts to safeguard property and lives were instrumental in mitigating the situation. The invaluable contributions of local farmers, who selflessly risked their equipment in support of the cause, were crucial to our success. In light of this incident, we hope a burn ban will be implemented soon, as it is imperative to prevent such risks from reoccurring. We extend our gratitude to Shenandoah Fire Department, Riverton Vol. Fire&Rescue, IA, Hamburg Iowa Fire Department, Fremont County Sheriff's Office - Iowa, Westboro, Sidney, and Coin.
