Stormwater systems are part of everyday infrastructure, even if they go unnoticed.

From drains to ditches, these systems help move and manage water during storms.

If they are clogged flooding can occur.

Keep them clean and clear so they can function properly helps protect property and nearby waterways.

Exposed soil doesn’t stay in place when it rains. Without control, sediment can leave a site and enter nearby storm drains and water ways.

Construction companies are required by law to reduce sediment from soil entering our waterways.

Report construction sites who are not doing so properly to your local stormwater department.

⚠️ UPDATE ⚠️ The sewer line was repaired 05/11/26 at 3:00 pm. FUD will continue to work with local agencies to monitor the impacted areas through testing and sampling until area is restored to its original status.

FUD’s contractor damaged a sewer line near the intersection of Grigsby Chapel Road and North Campbell Station Road, resulting in a sanitary sewer overflow. The damage did not occur during excavation activities and was not detected by the contractor. First Utility District (FUD) did not receive direct customer reports related to the overflow, but was notified of the incident by the Town of Farragut at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Monday.
FUD is coordinating immediate repairs to the damaged sewer line and is taking necessary actions to address reporting and compliance requirements with the State of Tennessee.

Our surroundings collect more than just what we see.

Roads, parking lots, and septic systems collect oil, grease, vehicle fluids, and other pollutants which can threaten water quality if not properly managed.

Instead of being treated, these pollutants flow directly into waterways.

Taking care of your car properly can help prevent these fluids from entering the waterways.
