The City Of Farrell Police Department Proudly providing 24 hour Police Service to the City of Farrell. Additionally, the department staffs a well trained and experienced Detective Division.

The City of Farrell Police Department is a full service Law Enforcement Agency with officers specially trained in areas such as DUI, DUI Sobriety Check-Points, and Drug Interdiction as well as officers trained in Critical Incident Management who are attached to the Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT). The department also has a Drug Task Force Unit that works independently and/or i

n association with other State and Federal agencies. In addition to the commitment of providing the community with highly trained, specialized law enforcement officers, the agency believes in taking proactive approaches in the reduction of crime. The City Of Farrell Police Department Community and Law Enforcement Liaison provides crime prevention and crime awareness tips and tricks to help keep residents and their property protected from current crime trends and scams. Through the Community Law Enforcement Liaison residents can request guest speakers, learn more about The City of Farrell Police Department community outreach events and projects, and gain access to useful resources. On site, The City of Farrell Police Department serves as home to the Mercer County District Attorney’s Victim/Witness Field Coordinator. The Field Coordinator is available to assist victims/witnesses of crime throughout the Criminal Justice process. Currently the department employs 16 Law Enforcement Officers, 15 full-time and 1 part-time. The City of Farrell Police Department is dispatched to all emergency and non-emergency calls through Mercer County 911 or the non-emergency dispatch number 724.662.6110.

The City of Farrell Police Department is honored that Sgt. Rose made Farrell her work home. Our communities of West Middlesex and Farrell are so fortunate to have you watching over them; you are a strong foundation of our Police Department.

Thank you for all you've done and continue to do every day. 🤍

It's our privilege and honor to recognize local first responders in this September edition. Get to know Farrell, Pa.'s Police Sgt. Monica Rose, our cover feature. She's as kind as she is fierce. Ever consider a tow truck operator as a first responder? You will after reading about Mercer Auto Wreckers. And Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce has a special Heroes Award it presents each month to a valley first responder.
We also honor women in medicine and tell you about the team of Thru-Care, a drive-through urgent care center in Mercer, Pa., Dr. Angela Hogue from Primary Health Network in Sharon, Pa., and Dr. Dana Craig, owner of Craig Family Orthodontics in Hermitage, Pa.

This month, we acknowledge the bleak 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. We can't forget the first responders who woke up on an ordinary day, only to find themselves running toward unimaginable fear, danger, and even death, forever defining what selfless service looks like. Their example lives on in every first responder and healthcare professional who continues the work.

And for Out & About, we visited Le Resto Asian Fusion in New Castle, Pa. It is terrific, and a personal return visit is already on the calendar.

Sending a BIG Thank You to the City of Farrell for donating school supplies to Farrell and West Middlesex schools.

Supplies can be dropped off at 500 Roemer Blvd. until August 18th.
We will also have a police cruiser for the "FILL THE CRUISER" event on August 19 at Hermitage Walmart.
