The City of Farrell Police Department is a full service Law Enforcement Agency with officers specially trained in areas such as DUI, DUI Sobriety Check-Points, and Drug Interdiction as well as officers trained in Critical Incident Management who are attached to the Mercer County Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT). The department also has a Drug Task Force Unit that works independently and/or i
n association with other State and Federal agencies. In addition to the commitment of providing the community with highly trained, specialized law enforcement officers, the agency believes in taking proactive approaches in the reduction of crime. The City Of Farrell Police Department Community and Law Enforcement Liaison provides crime prevention and crime awareness tips and tricks to help keep residents and their property protected from current crime trends and scams. Through the Community Law Enforcement Liaison residents can request guest speakers, learn more about The City of Farrell Police Department community outreach events and projects, and gain access to useful resources. On site, The City of Farrell Police Department serves as home to the Mercer County District Attorney’s Victim/Witness Field Coordinator. The Field Coordinator is available to assist victims/witnesses of crime throughout the Criminal Justice process. Currently the department employs 16 Law Enforcement Officers, 15 full-time and 1 part-time. The City of Farrell Police Department is dispatched to all emergency and non-emergency calls through Mercer County 911 or the non-emergency dispatch number 724.662.6110.
