On May 18th we welcomed the dual language students, families, and staff that will be joining us next year at Herndon. It was such a fun night meeting them. We are so excited to expand our dual language program at Herndon next year. Thank you to Ms. Thomas, Ms. Keel, and all the staff who organized and helped welcome our new Heroes!

As we officially close out the school year, we are absolutely thrilled and proud to share some incredible news with our school community. Harry H. Herndon Elementary has officially been named a Capturing Kids' Hearts (CKH) National Showcase Campus!

What does this mean for our school?
Capturing Kids' Hearts is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to building positive, relationship-driven classroom cultures. Being named a National Showcase Campus means our teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to implement these high-quality practices daily.

One of our top "Good Things" here at Herndon is our 17th Annual "Herndon's Got Talent" Show. This cherished tradition is something that our parents, students, and teachers look forward to every year because we get to "capture the hearts" of our Heroes by allowing them to showcase their many talents. This year did not disappoint! Bravo to all of those involved!

Wednesday our staff was treated to sweet treats from AJ’s Sugar Shack by our wonderful PTO. They also treated us to a yummy bundt cake treat on Friday. Thank you also to our admin for the popcorn snacks on Thursday and to Grob & Associates Law Firm, P.C. for the delicious Jason's Deli lunch. That was a thoughtful gesture for our staff. Scrubbies Wash USA was also passing out car wash coupons. We really felt appreciated this week!
