The streets are officially OPEN!

A huge thank you to all of our businesses and residents for your patience and support throughout this project. We truly appreciate your understanding while the work was being completed.

After taking a drive through town, the difference is incredible. The finished streets look fantastic, the drive was smooth and the wait was absolutely worth it.

Due to the projected heat the rest of this weekend, The City of Faulkton will continue the current road closures through Monday July 20th. We will reassess Monday.
Trucks continue to use 7th Ave S to Pearl Street or 13th Ave S to VFW Road.
Sorry for the inconvenience again during this project.

Unfortunately, despite the cones, repetitive post, city wide text messages and it being on the front page of the paper, someone drove on the newly paved road again today, causing damage to the fresh pavement. We have now upgraded our barricades!

Please do not drive around or move barricades to access closed roads. The closures are in place to allow the pavement to properly cure and to protect the investment being made in our streets.

If you witnessed this incident or have any information that could help identify the vehicle involved, please contact the City Office.

Please remember that the state fine for driving on a closed road is $232.50. More importantly causes permanent damage.

Thank you,
The City of Faulkton

This is why our roads are still closed.

Yesterday, a regular-sized vehicle drove on the newly paved blacktop, and this was the result.

With the extreme heat, the asphalt needs additional time to cure properly. Driving on it before it’s ready causes damage, delays the project, and can lead to costly repairs.

Please do not drive around barricades or onto any coned-off or closed roads. The closures are there to protect the new pavement and ensure the project is completed correctly.
